This bowl is turned from black locust with vivid grain patterns and significant colour variations. It ranges from warm golden tones to darker areas around knots, and a light colour along the edge. The form is organic and uneven, with an edge that follows the wood's original structure.
During turning, the bowl fell apart. Instead of discarding it, it was reassembled, and the cracks were stabilized with three inlaid oak butterflies. The repairs are visibly prominent as part of the bowl's expression, telling the story of the process the object has undergone.

Treatment:
