This vase is turned from rowan wood from our parents' garden. The surface is burnt, which gives it a deep black tone and highlights the dense grain patterns.
The silhouette moves from a narrow base to a full body, then tapers towards the opening. The vase was turned from wet wood, where the material's natural movements have created cracks, which remain untouched.
The vase stands as an object in itself, but can also hold flowers. A glass insert can be used if you wish to add water. Suitable for both fresh and dried flowers.
