This vase is turned from cherry wood into a full, round shape with a narrow neck that follows the natural lines of the wood.
It was turned from wet wood, which has since dried and moved. As the shape settled, cracks appeared on the surface – filled with brass, which does not hide but highlights and gilds the wood's natural imperfections. The wood is ammonia-treated, which has given it a darker and more glowing tone.
The vase stands as an object in itself but can also hold flowers. A glass can be inserted if you wish to add water. Suitable for both fresh and dried flowers.
