Serving plate in smoked oak, ø23

The platter is turned from oak with a high rim and a flat base. The outside of the base has a curve, giving it a floating appearance and making the bowl easy to grasp. 

The smoked finish gives the oak a deeper, darker tone and accentuates the natural grain patterns. 

The platter is turned from wet wood. During drying, the wood has moved and developed a more organic shape. The plates has cracked and been repaired with butterfly inlays, which hold the wood together while remaining visible as part of its expression.

The platter is suitable for serving food or as a base for decorations and arrangements.

Care instructions:

The platters are treated with a food-safe Danish oil, which protects the surface and helps repel water and moisture. They should be hand-washed with warm water and mild detergent. They are not dishwasher safe. For more information, please see our guide on wood product maintenance.
