Serving plate in smoked oak, ø19

The platter is turned in oak with a high rim and a flat bottom. Externally, the bottom has a curve that gives a floating sensation and makes the bowl easy to grasp. 

The smoked surface gives the oak a deeper, darker tone and accentuates the natural grain pattern. 

The platter is turned from wet wood. During drying, the wood has moved and taken on a more organic shape. Some plates have cracked and been repaired with butterfly inlays, which hold the wood together while remaining visible as part of the expression.

The platter is suitable for serving food or as a base for decorations and arrangements.

Each platter is unique, and variations in color, structure, and shape are a natural part of the material.

Care instructions:

The platters are treated with a food-safe Danish oil, which protects the surface and helps repel water and moisture. They should be hand-washed with warm water and mild dish soap. They are not dishwasher safe. For more information, please see our guide on wood product care.
