A sculptural vase turned from ash root – the point where the trunk transitions into the roots, and the wood's structure is unpredictable and full of life.
The shape is round and balanced with an even, circular opening, broken by several raw breakthroughs. Here, bark emerges at the edge, where roots previously encapsulated soil and stones.
The contrast between the smooth surface and the raw breaks gives the bowl its distinctive character.
The bowl is turned with respect for the wood's structure and movement, standing as a sculptural object in itself.
