A sculptural bowl turned from ash root – the place where the trunk transitions into the roots, and the wood's structure is unpredictable and full of life.
The form is open and full of perforations that run through the bowl. At the bottom, the wood opens crosswise but is held together by the structure that continues up the sides.
The intergrown roots of the tree form a network of fibers that bind the shape together. Bark appears along the edges of the openings.
The bowl is the result of an unpredictable process and stands as a sculptural object in itself.

Treatment:
